I like the macros off the bat as the last few newer quest bars were coming in at 9g or more. Visually it’s the very common quest base tan, as flavored mocha with chocolate #chunkporn throughout the bar. Slight mocha, coffee aroma to the bar but very hard to smell imo. Typical for quest I heated one half of the bar and left the other room temp. The room temp bar had good chew but I felt the mocha flavor really lacked until the very end of the bite. It also was just a tad bit grainy as well. Heated up bar made for a better texture but still was a bit grainy or pasty. You get just a hint of mocha or coffee overall. When taken with a chunk of chocolate it can almost give a burnt coffee flavor. The more you ate the bar the more the flavor built in your mouth, you got a bit more flavor after eating the Bar. Was nice to see a coffee flavor come to market but I think it needs a bit of work. Decent to munch on but I wouldn’t buy a whole box, and would choose other flavors to this.

Overall – 6/10

Decent chocolate aroma right away, visible chunks and nuts scattered throughout. The bar itself I felt to be a bit dry, and have a slight after taste to it. The white chocolate pieces were nice, but rocky road is marshmallow not white chocolate so that didn’t fit for me. Good chew overall, and enough chunks to give it some texture appeal. Slightly grainy as seems typical with most quest stuff these days. Overall I wasn’t to wowed with this bar. Another average bar for me, plus it’s another higher fat bar which turns me off.

Chocolate – 110cal / 4.5f / 17c / 12p

Good visual here. Chocolate bar that looks like one of the cereal bars you’d buy from a gas station with good amount of icing over it. Decent macros for the bars size. Not to crunchy, not to soft. Wasn’t super strong chocolate flavor honesty. I taste more of the icing than I do chocolate. The longer you chew this the more you taste protein as it gets kinda grainy or dry at the end.

Cinnamon Roll – 110cal / 4.5f / 17c / 12p
Good visual off the bar. Looks like a cereal bad with a nice bit of icing drizzled over it. Decent macros for the size of the bar. 38g which is just over half the weight of a quest bar. Very underwhelming cinnamon flavor here. Icing wasn’t as strong as the chocolate either. Decent to eat, but nothing spectacular.

@questnutrition Waffle Cereal Bar review –

110 cals / 4.5 fat / 17 carb / 12 protein

First off this has an amazing syrup smell. Yummm. Tan cereal bar with a white icing coating about 75% of the top of the bar. 38g bar so it’s just over half the weight of a typical quest bar. Very chewy bar that gives you a nice syrup with a bit of waffle or pancake flavor. It does fade out the more you chew and ends kinda bland but it isn’t terrible. Overall the flavor is a nice change but it needs to be increased a bit and increase flavors other than syrup. Definitely would of called this Bar Syrup with a hint of waffles.

3rd version Quest CCCD. 9/21/20
This one was a bit tastier than the new CNC. Good chew, good amount of chunks, I did find that the more you chewed it still did have a slight grainy feel to it, then flavor would go bland as a aftertaste. Idk if it’s just me but these new bars also stick like a mofo to the wrapper.
Sadly I’d take this over the CNC, but for the macros I’d much rather eat a @combatcrunch and have a bit of fat n get a better texture.

3rd Version Quest CNC

IMG_20160208_152305

The ‘new’ and 3rd version of Quest CNC – 9f/21c/20p Slightly grainy, weak flavor if you don’t get a cream chunk, cookie pieces are a bit dry n chalky, good chew, a bit softer than last, warmed makes it better as usual. Overall I felt the the flavor in this bar was more of a backdrop. It definitely gave me a drier chalky feel as eating it then after I started chewing the flavor would come out more. I think this new version is a bit better than their last, but not near their original. I looked at ingredients to compare and I couldn’t find any differences. I wish the macros were still like they use to be. I think when they first came out fat was 6f.

MORE F&*KIN DONUTS SONNN

IMG_20160116_220509Decided I would throw up my latest Donut Recipe for Cinnamon Donuts with Hot Chocolate Frosting

First Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, place 100g AP Flour, 20g Cinnamon Whey, 30g Truvia or granulated sugar of choice, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp salt. Mix together.

In a separate bowl melt 2tbsp(28g) lite butter. Let cool. Crack and egg in and whisk. Then add in 1 tsp vanilla and 4oz Low fat Buttermilk. Mix then add into dry ingredients. Combine everything well.

Grab you donut tray and spray well. Begin to place your batter evenly into each donut holder. This does make a good amount of batter and I have to fill all 6 holders to the brim. If you have 2 pans or 1 that can hold 12 this recipe could probably make 7 or 8 donuts.

Place batter in the middle of your oven for 8-12 min. Use toothpick to check if done. Take out and let sit for a few minutes. Then transfer to a cooling rack to finish cooling.

Now lets make the frosting.

In a bowl place 1 packet Swiss miss light hot chocolate, 20g Chocolate Whey, 2g truvia, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and enough water/milk to bring it to a frosting consistency.

Proceed to dunk each donut into the frosting then using a spatula evenly spread the remaining frosting over the donuts.

I recommend storing these in the fridge once you are don’t eating them, but when serving place in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.

4g Hot Coco Mix

Milk to mix.

I added just a smidge of 0 cal chocolate sauce

Pre heat Oven to 350

Once Cake is baked, pop out and place on rack to cool.

Once Frosted I dusted with 2g of grahm cracker crumbs and 15g of mini marshmallows. Obviously I added more after the fact but doesn’t matter for the recipe.

Lets be Honest. Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fucking Rock.

What is up everyone! I decided to share some Reese cake recipes with you.
Will work on building these recipes into even better versions but until then let these satisfy your taste buds. First one I made ages ago, 2nd one made last night. Very similar, next time I will use regular flour.

11255769_10152757056652540_1506285366156574988_n

Blend 90g cannelloni beans. Put half in one bowl and half in another(for two cakes if only one combine everything) then put half equal parts of each next ingredient in each bowl. 20g coconut flour, 90g pumpkin, 8g sf ff pudding, baking powder, vanilla or chocolate extract, sweetner of choice I used stevia and chocolate sauces, and a egg white in each. Then in the chocolate cake I put 5g coco and 1/2scoop chocolate pb casein. Almond milk to mix. Other bowl I put 12g pb2, 1/2scoop pb protein, and again almond milk to mix. There is the base, chocolate cake and pb cake. Put in oven at 350 and cook till done. 15-25min. Pb cooked way faster than chocolate. Take out and let sit till cool. Then take 5g coco, and 1/2scoop protein (chocolate pb for me) and a bit of almond milk and chocolate sauce if you have and mix into frosting. Can add more sweetener if needed. Cut both cakes in half. Place chocolate on bottom, take half of pb cake on top, take a thin layer of frosting and spread on top of pb cake. Then if wanted place desired goodies(pb cups and cereal for me) then place 2nd pb cake on top of filling. Place chocolate cake on top of that. Then use frosting to cover the cake. Top with desired goodies.
I hope I’m not missing anything.

Macros without goodies but with frosting was 565cals 8f 64c 63p give or take a few.

11870633_10152936230157540_9172599883254966317_n

1/2 scoop pb protein

1/2 scoop chocolate protein

1/2 c cannelloni beans

90g pumpkin

2 egg whites

6g pb2

5g coco

3 sweetner packets

7g reese chips

Almond milk

Baking powder

Syrup and Chocolate Syrup.

Make just like above cake mixing chocolates with chocolates, pb with pb. Bake same amount of time.

In the meantime Take

5g coco

1/2 scoop chocolate protein

11g SF FF Pudding mix

Chocolate syrup

Splash of almond milk and mix for frosting.

Take takes out to cool, once cool slice each in half and spread a thin layer of frosting on each. Stack the pb on each other with 1 layer of chocolate on the bottom, and one layer on the top. Cover with remaining frosting and top with Reese chips.

Macros for 1/4 of the cake before extra toppings: 144 cal , 2.2f/15.4c/15.3p and 5.1g of fiber

Macros for whole Cake before extra toppings: 574 cal, 8.8f/61.5c/61.3p and 20g of fiber

A light drizzle of peanut butter and the fats can still stay low, or even use a PB2 drizzle to keep it way down. I also recommend adding in at least one crushed up Reese =]

Not to shabby for eating a whole cake. I think just about anyone could fit a slice of that into their day. Served with ice cream is always best of course.

What flavor cakes would you guys like to see? Enjoy the cakes even or am I wasting my time eating all this dank ass food?haha
